QL | Incubus - A ghost-hunters tale (2023) Small scale , connect three , Observation Puzzle Game
A Steam review that in 95% gets the feel of the game :
"The long decline in quality and output from Darkling Room continues with Incubus. There is really very little to recommend here. The game world is small and uninteresting – a rather sparse, bland London townhouse. Once inside, we hook-up with the OPG via Smartphone and they invite us to embark on a deep dive into the house’s history which will hopefully shed light on the malevolence there. To make progress in this quest involves finding and categorizing three types of ghost in different areas of the house before a section of the story is then revealed. This activity (go to room, switch between clunky gadgets) quickly becomes extremely laborious and uninteresting, feeling, as it does, like mere filler to increase the run-time of the game. Seven days of this tedium then leads to a paradigm of incongruity with a ridiculous time-warp to war-time Egypt. The gameplay is less repetitive here, but not much more immersive or engaging, feeling as it does like part of a different game. A few plodding puzzles later and we are back in London to finish out the game and escape the house. My sense of relief at leaving 30 East Drive was a sad reflection on the quality of this unimaginative, predictable, derivative game which was about as scary as an episode of Teletubbies but far less fun. "
By the way , its a capture of a earlier version . Then as of now , that has all of its scares more randomized ... compared to what you see here ... radio is a bit more at you, with song names ... and resolution aspect rations are fixed
So here is my 5% of the rest of IMO : The pigeonholed **ehm** agenda and its flags is also a thing , that should not be in a Ghost game ... since those things , are a warning light... and, also a "lure" , to make it placed on a list ... so, a set mindset can feel validated , "This product makes us exist in that world , i must buy it" ... mentality of those that **ehm** , are not mentally fit ... aka its got a EGS Patch ... from a dev point of view , i know why it was added , to get those extra sales ... but in a game like this , yeah ... why behaviors of decay , of our society , must be validated ...in our entertainment media , just to get some extra $$$ is beyond me ... But by the end of the day , Nothing is True Everything is Permitted ... and you gonna do this to survive in the Wolf world...
