Quake III Arena in WinBox for 86Box running Win98 with Voodoo 3 on Windows 11 | AMD 5950X | RTX 3080 | 64 Gb Memory | 1080.

I wanted to see if I could play Quake III Arena smoothly on emulators for Win98 with the 3DFX Voodoo 3 card. Unfortunately, the test didn't go well, as I encountered lags and stutters throughout the run. Even after adjusting the settings, the mouse sensitivity remained too high. I tried lowering the game settings and video quality, but it made no difference.

During the second test run, I tried to identify the resources that WinBox was using to run this classic game. It became evident that classic operating systems and games require a significant amount of processing power, even on a high-performance CPU like the 5950X.
