Comments on the run:
Finally, I have managed to get a try lucky enough for a 2:35.
It's still not perfect, I fell into the lava (which cost me like
0.4-0.5), however the luck involved and the decimal I got is good
enough to accept this as a record. I will still hammer on it till
I get 2:34, but it'll do for now.
What got me those 4 seconds? First, a route change involving the
lightning bug. I killed the shambler through the wall before it
spawned, which saved me 2 seconds. Unfortunately, the position
needed for me to wait for the shambler to move gor a second,
you can see that in the demo. Whilst the angle wasn't super
complicated and I got the trick like once every 3 tries, I also
needed to have much, MUCH ammo for lg after that. I usually ended with 32,
which wasn't enough. This made the cut hellishly hard, it worked about once
every 30 tries. Another two seconds were cut from general optimizing
everything as much as I could.
Besides the fall into the lava, the demo is a pretty smooth effort. Have
fun watching. Oh, and this start is like the best I have ever managed :)
