Here's a little something for any of you Quake II enthusiasts still out there.

Satyr, also known as alk14.bsp, is an additional single level that focuses mainly on combat, with a dash of puzzle-solving and pseudo-exploration thrown in for good measure. It has an architectural theme reminiscient of the original Quake (and uses one or two textures to boot); a medieval fortress-like structure consisting of mainly wood and stone, with the occasional use of rusted metal.

But that's where the similarities end.

Because you damn well won't find any Ogres around these parts, oh no. But then don't go thinking it's deserted either! For over 200 cybernetic Strogg infest this fort, and almost all of them are fiendishly placed; be it a lone Gladiator taking pot-shots down a hallway, or a mob of Gunners pouring through a newly-opened door, hurling grenades in every direction.

ANYWAY!

For this first part, you can see how the general gameplay will pan out; the path is somewhat linear, but due to the layout being cleverly interwoven and made up of walkways adjacent to or suspended over previously explored areas, it feels a lot more open and free-range than it actually is. But never mind that crap, because we're thrown to the packs of vile Strogg immediately!
