1 second faster than my previous demo.
Believe it or not, this took me 5 months on and off to get. The first 3:45 I got (with one kill missing) dates back to June 6th.
Yeah, I know it's silly spending THAT much time improving such a long demo by only one second, but I believe it's as close to
optimal now as it can possibly get. Due to the Fiend sequence I don't see it going down another second, not even with powerbunnies
or shit like that.
Let me explain:
A 30-second sequence will initiate after you've killed the first Fiend that teleports in when the first button is pressed. When
you kill that Fiend another Fiend will teleport in at the same location after 30 seconds, and that pattern will continue for a
total of eight Fiends. In between those 30 second gaps you have to kill everything else on the map. Sound easy, right? It's not!
Every Fiend kill has to be perfectly executed, not to mention that getting that last elusive Fiend kill while sprinting for the
exit is a lottery you tend to lose every time.
Prior to getting this one I had a .01 run, and two attempts that were on course to be 3:45's, but I jumped over the exit trigger!
I wish it was a prettier looking demo, but this will have to do.
