US director Quentin Tarantino, at an event he attended, announced which is the rare film that has managed to scare him so far.

US director Quentin Tarantino talked about a rare movie that has managed to scare him so far in the program he attended to promote the novel adaptation of Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood.

According to the Independent's report, the famous director, who attended Stephen Colbert's The Late Show, talked about his admiration for John Carpenter's horror classic The Thing.

During the show, Tarantino praised The Thing for the practical effects it used, calling it one of the best productions of all time.

Tarantino used the following statements:

"What Rob Bottin used in Carpenter's movie is among the most useful special effects ever made for the big screen. I think it's one of the best horror movies ever, if not one of the best movies ever made."

The director explained why the film frightened him as follows:

“I was scared, and that made me scrutinize why I was scared while watching this movie. These guys are trapped in the polar research center, and the Thing is likely to swallow them all. It's probably one or more of them. And no one knows if it's the Thing or the person they've known all along. "

Tarantino states that the paranoia in the movie is becoming more and more palpable as follows:

"And the movie makes the paranoia of that so palpable, so real that the pure paranoia almost turns into another character in the movie. They're trapped in this bunker in Antarctica, and so the paranoia bounces off all four walls, until they have nowhere else to go but reach the audience through the 4th wall. I was starting to feel exactly the way they felt.

The legendary name of the soundtrack, Ennio Morricone, probably has a share in the impressiveness of the film.

Well, in 1982, John W. Campbell Jr.'s Who Goes There? It was adapted from his book. nonstop news
