THE Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris event will be back this week, with new flawless loot and elimination rules.
Bungie is bringing back the Trials of Osiris event this week, complete with a fresh batch of items, weapons and flawless rewards.
The Trials will be kicking off at around 6pm GMT and will allow Destiny 2 gamers to take on others in 3vs3 crucible combat.
Osiris rewards will not be known until the event kicks off, and it might take a little time to find out the complete loot list.
It will be Guardians having to do the hard work as Bungie rarely ever provides clues beforehand, only confirming this week that the Endless Vale will be the official map choice.
Trials now boast a seven-win challenge, which will be available from Saint-14, and provides the Adept Flawless loot.
Reputation gain per match has been scaled by the number of round wins on a ticket, and Trials passages are now account scoped.
Bungie has also confirmed that they have reduced the round time to 90 seconds, with each round starting with fresh special ammo.
Cross-Play must be enabled to participate in Trials of Osiris, which also requires the purchase of the current yearly expansion.
And Bungie has confirmed that there will be a new set of experimental rules that will be in place the whole weekend.
The Capture Zone Lab will be in place, meaning that Trials of Osiris this weekend will still be elimination focused.
However, while much of the gameplay will remain the same, Guardians will notice these tweaks to the normal rules:
30 seconds after the round starts, a capture zone is enabled. Players can capture this zone to win the round, or just eliminate the other team like normal.
The capture zone has a waypoint from round start, including a countdown timer, so everyone will know exactly when and where it will be.
The capture zone starts in the middle of the map in the first round and changes location each round.
And Bungie has also confirmed that they have made further changes since the last time Capture Zone was active, including the following:
Rather than rotating through points that give one team a significant location advantage, we are rotating through three neutral zones — one at Temple, one at Mid, and one at Shrine.
Players no longer get Super energy when capturing a zone, either before or after the round ends.
Card-based Matchmaking is on all weekend, with the Flawless Pool turning on Sunday morning at 10 AM. As with the previous two Labs, a 2x Trials Rank booster will be on all weekend. nonstop news
