Question: Why would Sony HandyCam HDR CX405 not record while AC plugged in?

Please comment if you know why some users can only use playback when plugged into a wall outlet. The seem to be unable to record with the camera in this configuration. Is it a setting? If so, please leave a comment telling us how to change it.
