Game description:
The second Questprobe adventure moves on from the 'verb noun' command interface of The Hulk and allows fuller sentence inputs. You play Spider-Man, Peter Parker's crime-fighting alter-ego, as he takes on Mysterio, who can block out Parker's spidery senses using his canisters of poison.
As in The Hulk, the Examiner plays a key part in the game, as he initially strips Spider-Man's knowledge and prepares him for the battle. Throughout the game you meet many familiar Marvel characters, using the clues in the provided guidebook to help you deal with these situations correctly.
What I think:
After playing Questprobe: Featuring the Hulk, I feared to play this game. I am a REALLY huge Spider-Man fan, so that is only natural.
But the game pleasantly surprised me. It is a nice game.
Yes, you still collect gems, but at least it doesn't feel to be a necessity. It is, but it just doesn't feel like it.
Also you actually use Spider-Man's (acrobatic) abilities and you have to use Spider-Man's intelligence and wits to defeat his enemies.
Yes, Spider-Man's enemies make an appearance!
So, why not a higher rating? Well, even though you can use Spider-Man's abilities, it doesn't actually "feel" like you are using them. Also I think that there are some parts in the game that feel ... meh.
