Quick Look | Shadow Ops Red Mercury (2004) a Game that created the COD design...
a Game that created the COD design , build on a awesome script but riddled with awful bugs , illogical maps ... and a killer difficulty to hide the fact you could complete this game in 3h .... Not to mention, on this game shoulders 2 more things came to PC : the DVD medium (2 other games also pushed the DVD standard onto PC : Yager and Silent Hill 3 ) and the 64 bit gaming revolution ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tIQ0aa7_pI (that in reality where higher re-designed maps with more clutter .... same with PhysX games)
So you can say , this game had well ... a lot on its back ... but was it good ? ... Well lets make something clear, this game was a Port... so on PC nope, it was semi-good ... a game that didn't pushed the DVD format to the max (all its cutscenes are highly macro-blocked WMV :/ and the sound is well awful also) ... same can be said about the AMD 64 and its 64bit push ... that well flopped when people did not wanted to buy Windows XP 64bit (Farcry was also payed to help with this 64 bit push)... but one thing it got right, its the story presentation that just made you forget about all of its crappy issues and just play on ... till you die and have to restart from the beginning , uhgggggggg ... but when playing "Project I.G.I" from 2000 was fun and dying in this game helped you develop FPS skilz ... in this game when you die , all is a chore when you have to start again the whole map and again sit in front the same scripted cutscenes you cannot skip ...
...But on Xbox 1 ... its was good game ...
