8(Ś)wirus or Świrus ... both names are correct ...was one of those polish adventures ,that at its time was heavy advertised as the first windows game from Poland ... published by Mirage
Was it good ... nope , whole thing can be beat under 2h ... the only thing that will stop you in one spot is its sudden obscurity... to use ketchup on the cat and use it as a Fake Blood Sacrifice to scare off the Shotgun wielding librarian ... or to use a lemon on a door to open it ...
It was one of those games that wanted to build its mental image to the player, by using Nostalgia for other games ... from MTVs duo to Maniac Mansion trio ... to the use of some know (at the time ) Polish adventures like Sołtys ... games that where better, then this
If you ask ,about the story ... well its a game about a typical Pole, that had to emigrate to get a higher payed job ... then returns from his wandering ... back to Poland ... only to be woken up by his Holographic image from the Future , to save the Planet from some Virus ... wandering about his home town , then by transported to some medieval version of it to get the cure ... to end it by ... using a lemon on that metalic door you saw ... to save all ... zee enddzzzz
Meh if you ask me ... as of now , like back then this game was nothing special to me ...
