Here is a first loop No Miss (so no lives lost) Clear of Irem's R-Type.

R-Type is a well known 2d shmup released in 1987. It is the first in a long running series of shmups, well known for being very difficult and requires a lot of memorisation.
This game took me quite a while to clear on my first life, but I'm happy I cleared it.

The game uses different types of powerups, which are all useful in certain parts of the game. You are always rewarded the same powerups at the same time.
The powerup (which is called the "Force") can be shot forward/detached, placed on the back of the ship, or be used as a shield.
