Salamander 2 - 1 Loop Clear 1/6
17Here is a 1 Loop Clear of Salamander 2, taken from the first of my good runs in STGT 2012.
Salamander 2 (沙羅曼蛇2) is Konami's Gradius-like shmup from 1996, but contains more elements from the first Salamander game, such as the screen direction changing at the end of stages, and having 6 stages again.
The powerup system is similar to Salamander 1 (and not Life Force), but if you pick up two of the same shot type, then you get a stronger shot for a rather short period of time.
Player 1's ship is the Vic Viper, and Player 2 plays Super Cobra in Salamander 2.
It was ported to the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and also on the PSP.
The music in this game was composed by the now well known Naoki Maeda.
