HD stages started bare from stage select. No deaths.

Attempts: a lot. I haven't played this game in almost a year at the time of recording, and I had to practice this one. Definitely not as hard as it is from the arcade or the Playstation port of R-Types.

Note: I use the blue laser to fight the boss. I avoided powering it up on purpose. Fully powered, the beams bounced around and made the blocks destroy my ship before I could position myself. I've killed the boss doing this before, but it times out before it dies this time. Note how small the hit box is. The hit box is just the cockpit, which is why you'll see enemies pass through the back of the ship.
