Recorded on my Steam copy. My apologies for the deafening silence; I turned the BGM off because I originally recorded this for a compilation that someone else requested, so that the sound effects could play without interrupting the sound mix for their edits. I also apologise for the quality... I need to do better exports.

I never played R-Type Final myself, but I always had a fascination with the RX-12 for multiple reasons. One of the big ones is what its Flexible Force references, which is another Irem SHMUP called X-Multiply, the movements of the X-002's tentacle appendages being replicated in both R-Type Final and Final 2. through this Force.

The other reason I was always interested in it is because of what it represents in the lore: The ship was made to break the theoretical limit of Bydo coefficient that was possible to put into R-Craft. With it came a forbidden breakthrough where the subsequent R-13 Series would utilise the increased amounts of Bydo energy, and also branched off into the B-Series, craft that would start to employ the use of Bydo tissue beyond the Force itself. Indeed, the chosen name for the ship is rather significant for that same reason, as the phrase refers to any group or individual that commits themselves irrevocably to a risky course of action, just as the EAAF did when they essentially proved that they were starting to show signs of being able to create the very nemesis humanity swore to destroy.
