R-Type II - 2-ALL Clear No-Miss (JP Version)
1st loop: 0:17
2nd loop: 19:16
R-Type II is the sequel to R-Type, which was first released in the arcades in 1987 and profoundly influenced later shooting games with its charge shots, unique weaponry, and grotesque enemies.
That being said all other weapons besides the DNA shot are complete garbage.
Because of that reason power-ups including speedups are more deadly than bullets.
Obviously the trick to playing the game is to make clever use of your force to deal with every situation as you can make it shoot behind you as well make it move on it's own. It can block bullets as well as damage enemies.
It's pretty much impossible to recover from a death unless you have a plan of attack for every checkpoint in the game, which I didn't feel like making.
The 2nd loop besides increasing enemy aggressiveness and rate of fire also drastically increases the amount of health enemies and bosses have which can be a pain sometimes.
I milked the stage 5 and 6 bosses for some extra points, it's not like doing it is any hard anyway.
Furthermore the JP version of the game is a lot harder than the other versions of R-Type II that were released. In the other versions they pretty much removed all of the enemies that come from behind.
2-6 was so much clutch holy shit.
