And thus begins a new playthrough on an entirely new mode I havent ever played before and only recently I have been told of its existence...

So, this is AFD, short for April Fools Day, mode. This makes the game more difficult/unfair, namely it makes some changes, these are the main ones:

1) AFD Blocks. These will block some areas in the overworld, you will have to find a way around them.
This changes the progression of the game by quite a fair amount, all your map knowledge will be put to test with these.
Items you normally get very early into the game arent available until much later as a result (Ex; pretty sure its impossible to get Carrot Bomb until you get to Chapter 3)
2) Bosses will get some buffs that they normally dont get. These are permanently active as far as I can tell, and of course they stack on top of their normal buffs.
Early on, it seems they get relatively harmless ones, such as Power Absorb, but as the game progresses they will likely get better buffs...
3) EN is limited. You can ONLY get EN from bosses.
This was the most shocking change for me. What this actually means is:
*You no longer heal from enemies you kill. So I guess the Survival Badge has been nerfed big time, at least in the overworld.
*Naturally, you have to plan ahead with the items you want to buy, since theres a hard cap of EN you can get. You cant simply go grind for EN anymore... think twice about what you will buy!
*This also kinda renders the Rainbow Charged Shots mostly unusable. Because who would want to use a weapon that uses money for ammo, when said money is limited? Yeah, thats right. As much as it pains me to say it, Rainbow Charged Spam is REALLY not viable at all in this mode..

(At least until you beat Irisu? Then if you wanted more EN you could go beat Irisu to reset bosses, and farm EN with that? I guess that may work)

So thats about all the major changes for this mode I believe. Honestly it doesnt seem all that unfair to me so far (Then again, I cleared the game on Impossible mode which is arguably harsher than this? and of course there is Bunny Hell, which is just absolutely insane) but we will see how it progresses.

It certainly made this fight interesting. Because I have so few items at this point, Cocoa 2 actually puts up a nice fight, instead of me speedkilling her in like 1 minute as usual.

She is normally supposed to be a mid-game fight- As evident by some of her attacks being incredibly difficult (Or with really bad RNG, almost impossible) to dodge without movement items, but on AFD she will likely be one of the first town members you recruit. I mean... its not like you have much of a choice :p

Fight itself is really, pretty self-explanatory. I dont know how you are supposed to dodge the 0:35 attack so I just tank it with blue boost, other than that its relatively easy as long as you pay attention and dont get some of her more RNG based attacks...
