Rad Racer is one of Square's more underrated games. The main people who worked on this also headed up Final Fantasy. You can switch the music at any time, which is supposed to be like a radio. It uses a view similar to that of Outrun, and captures the sense of speed quite well. It also gets pretty hard quickly. Crashing just a couple times can cause you to lose at a course, and the rival cars constantly jump in your way.

I don't do so well on these first couple tracks, but they're the easiest ones, and give a little more room for error.
