Radiant Nailsage Sly Challenge - Sharp Shadow Only and No Jumping!
102This is a challenge suggested by ThatPurpleDewpider to defeat Nailsage Sly with Sharp Shadow only. It was also encouraged by HK Discord giving advice on Sly that included "don't sharp shadow Sly in P2" (which is actually really good advice). Since that doesn't seem too bad by itself I also opted for no jumping for some extra difficulty.
There are only two major difficulties with this setup. In P1 cyclone slash requires timing your dash as Sly bounces up from the ground to make it through him (you can dash through him as he descends, but sometimes he'll manage to get you in the corner). Everything else is pretty easy, as he apparently cancels great slash if you dash through him. Didn't realize his double slash/spin and dive slash were alternated the entire fight, so this was a learning experience too!
P2 isn't too bad to sharp shadow after his spinning ends since you can dash from the edge of the spinning and end safely past him once the spinning ends. The problem is the "no jumping" comes back to make things far worse since now you have to get Sly to start his spin close to the floor. Twenty times or so.
All in all, not too bad and kind of fun. It seems doing no jumping with Sly would either require sharp shadow for a long enough dash for the cyclone slash or descending dark.
