Quite a few folks suggested fighting NKG with just Sharp Shadow. I thought it doable although likely to take a very long time but it turns out it's not all that long or tedious compared to the other NKG challenges. It's not that difficult though as you will have a shade dash available for just about every attack and dashing through Grimm is a good choice for dodging pretty much everything.

Most importantly this also lets me fulfill my promise of mixing things up and using Hiveblood with Joni's Blessing, because this is the most powerful charm combo in radiant difficulty.
