Railroader - 1/14/24 - RTS Day 20 - Live Interchange - Switching The Mines
14As we move into the middle of the day #51 is returning light power from Fontana Lake to Alarka Jct. to head to Alarka to switch the copper mines.
We take this opportunity to check on #2 who has cars from the sawmill to bring to the interchange. He'll need to eventually swap out some cars but there still work to be done in the rest of the system.
#51 grabs it's cars at Alakra Jct. for Alakra and heads to the copper mines. No other work is needed at Alarka. Once serviced he heads back to Alarka Jct.
Meanwhile #41 grabs the coal loads and heads down to Alarka Jct. This is all going on while #3 is being dispatched through it's 1st afternoon passenger run.
Alarka Jct. gets very interesting as we perform our first live interchange controlling 2 trains with AI assistance at the same time switching the yard. The passenger is also fast approaching and needs the line cleared. A very cool series of events to end this time.
