Railroader - 1/14/24 - RTS Day 20 - Switching Bryson & 1st Supply Train To Fontana Lake
We start the 2nd quarter of the day at Bryson with sorting of the cars from East Whittier and building an outbound with everything except Bryson and East Whittier.
From there we head west and try to get there as quick as we can. Unfortunately despite having our new #41 SW-1 it is only in tow (non powered) to conserve fuel for delivery to Robinson Gap. We would only use it in an emergency and at just shy of 2000 tons we managed to make it dipping as low as 12 MPH.
This unfortunately delayed the EB passenger who needed to hold the main as we were too big for the siding but managed to keep going (screenshot red over green at the east end).
Once we get to Alarka Jct. we once again break down the train that was sorted at Bryson to the small transfer yard while starting to back up for the frist time back down towards Fontana Lake on the 1st repair trip for the bridge.
