I managed to unlock a third achievement in this run (it was named "The Saint") and I decided to stick around in the Subterranean to do a more comprehensive scouting of that area. I kind of regret making that decision, gut given my alternatives, it seemed to be the only way forward. This area is definitely a hostile territory, with many Lizards crawling in the dark of the Filtration System, Centipedes lurking on the surface and some dark creatures that look like Walking Pterodactyls, which won't hesitate to snap at you if you are in their way. Also, I confirmed that those Rooted Worms with a blue tip can kill you by pulling you to the ground. I found some of them in the Outskirts, so be careful when you get close to them.

The good news is that getting to the Drainage System, and then either the Outskirts or the Garbage Wastes won't require many consecutive cycles survived, so I wouldn't have much trouble to return to the areas I previously scouted if this area still gives me a headache.
