Edit: EE-One-D has no activation range. It scans the entire map for anyone who moves. It is Lion's standard gadget with no differences.

Overview of Doktor's Curse Event Mode
One thing I found very helpful is knowing the map.
I could not find a map, but I have a basic one that I created (not to scale) if you are interested.

Tips:
Know the map.

Know the character skills.

Stalker: Pulse's Cardiac Sensor
Lurcher: Jackal's Eyenox
Prowler: Lion's EE-One-D

Attacker: Watch out for traps.

Defender: When trapping, choose a room with a back door so you have more escape options.

Defender: When time is low, run outside. You can stay outside for 7 seconds

Defender: Choose a runner playstyle or trapper playstyle. Smoke, Aruni, and Kapkan are good trappers. Kapkan, by far, gets the most kills as defender simply due to having 5 semi-hidden traps. You can easily get 2 kills per round if you have well-placed entry denial devices.
Aruni is for area denial. Aruni can do 70 damage if enemy walks through the barrier.
Smoke can be a good runner or trapper, and is good for area denial. He works best paired with Melusi.
Lesion is good as a runner and on a trapper team.
Melusi and Ela are runners.
