Go-mode item was the hookshot, which took quite a while to hunt down (hammer pegs was mushroom - hookshot was the reward). This was a very interesting seed especially early on, lots of on-the-fly routing decisions and picking up items that basically change the entire plan around.
Early on you had a ton of choices open -- south shore checks, hype cave, PoD/EP, or TT. I wanted to put off PoD/EP and TT if possible since I had no sword or lamp, so I decided to do hype cave - pyramid ledge - catfish first and was rewarded with the mirror, which meant I could check the 2 zora items right then and there. South shore had flippers, flute, and ice rod, so I did the flipper checks real fast before activating flute. Again, I decided to put off crystal dungeons and instead head up to DM instead in hopes of getting a sword or lamp. Found my fighter's sword up on DM and then went and did TT. Decided to not route in smithy chain, as I had already seen frod up on the floating island, knew that quake was on ether tablet, and was literally only missing master sword and hookshot to finish the game. So at that point I wanted to just do crystal dungeons only.
Did PoD+EP, DP, and went into Mire. Mire was big key first (god mire!) so I decided screw those two checks and I can just come back later. Cleared IP (Kholdscare was scary with only master sword, but I made liberal use of byrna whenever I felt in a bad spot), then went up to TR. Still no luck with the hookshot, so I did smithy chain into pyramid fairy, then turned in the mushroom for go mode.
If you knew how to hover you probably could have skipped all of that and been in go mode wayyyyyyyy earlier.
Pretty happy with my execution this time around. I absolutely blew through Thieves Town (feels good to get the hellway dash!) and made pretty good use of quickswap through and through. GT felt pretty good too, though I guess it helps that the big key wasn't too far in. I had a silly death in light world DM, and I forgot that I needed to do the vanilla TR fire rod room (no hookshot, boo), so that felt kind of silly. But all in all pretty happy with how I did. Looks like I came out doing relatively well, too.
