RAMP 2022 is the sequel to 2021's RAMP, in that mappers come together to release a Doom map of any quality, and is a starting point for those wishing to get into mapping. As before, maps are accessed through a central hub map, and there are 117 entries in this instalment, with the project once again headed by DavidN. All maps were designed within the month of June, with 88 mappers contributing to the project.

About the Map:

Unbelievably difficult. Almost everything has to go perfectly should the player wish to survive. From the get-go, the player is forced into a tricky situation, in that many weapons are heavily defended by swarms of enemies. The Arch-Viles were undeniably the biggest annoyance, and taking those guys are, from lots of attempts, the highest priority to kill. Leaving too many alive at once almost certainly spells doom.

This is a level that involves quite a lot of patience, and trial-and-error. As a result, this one plays out rather slowly. As mentioned, infighting is key, and getting as much of that happening as possible makes for a higher chance of completion. Really glad this one is done, but was an excellent challenge to undertake.
