Creating the Vanilla Randomizer and releasing it to the public is one thing, but then it only felt right to use it for a bit! This is my third run using my program, but to keep things fresh, this time I play through Challenge Mode (NG+) instead of starting from a fresh file. Basically, this makes it less painful, as I don't have to worry about bolt counts to buy the weapons I can use in some levels, as in the previous run I had to farm for bolts to get the Tesla Claw!

Vanilla Rando Backstory: I got really excited by the Randomizer mod created by bordplate and released on March 13th 2022, as it's such a cool idea not seen before in R&C. However, it's a mod exclusively made for Digital PAL PS3 copies of the game, and even if it's a version I have, it requires enabling Homebrew and modding your PS3 for it to work. Not being 100% sure on that, and knowing some people might not want to mod their only PS3 console for a randomizer of one game, I got inspired and started cooking this project in secret until revealing it for my birthday, some days later. This is a fully Vanilla randomizer, a separate program you run on your PC and doesn't change any game files, so the game still runs normally, but it tells you which items you can and cannot use on every level. You can first choose whether or not you want to allow some of the hardest tricks, and then a combination that makes sure you can always beat the game is generated randomly. It can ban weapons, gadgets or even Clank attacks!

This video also starts with a death, as I started the stream trying to get full 100% completion in my successful Deathless run where I beat Drek.
