Secret Agent Clank (100%) - 8 (Finale): Grind, NG+ Klunk & HIG Treehouse!
0Dread it, run from it, SAC arrives all the same. And now it's here. Or should I say, we have come to a point where I can't procrastinate the 100% run of Secret Agent Clank anymore, so here we go! The second game in the R&C franchise done by High Impact Games was also a PSP spin-off, but with more liberties and variety in content. There is no excuse, though, SAC is absolutely terrible at times, with flaws from top to bottom damaging the entire experience. Of course, part of this is always due to external conditions, demands by Sony, almost no time to develop the game, needing to cram some Ratchet gameplay, having to add the same kind of missions over and over to extend playtime and market the game better, and so on. There are some interesting ideas and good parts, but when knowing everything needed for 100%, these moments get diluted in too many skill points and side missions. But let's not repeat myself more than I do out loud during this playthrough, hope you can get some enjoyment out of this! Especially if you have or are planning on 100%ing this game, I hope this can be a good help and company during the worst parts, as there aren't many playthroughs anywhere.
In this eighth and final(!) episode of our 100% run, we're on the final stretch. Just a bit of Ratchet grind to warm up, and then we obtain the Chalice of Power, beat Klunk's ass in an eternal fight, and explore the HIG Treehouse, which is still an amazing completion bonus, even for this game! Or especially for this one, given what we find here! Disclaimer one last time: I use the save/load state and speed-up mechanics of the PPSSPP emulator as much as I can. If they can ease a bit of pain, everything is welcome. If you've done this, you'll probably understand. Hope it doesn't annoy anyone!
