Random Gameplay 81: Chess.com Nelson Match
23I was very happy to see Chess becoming more of a thing lately as it's one of the best classic board games (IMO).
Nelson here I heard is one of the most annoying AI opponents for people to get past. I can see why because his really aggressive "find checkmate" style can be a game ruiner if you don't see it. Well, really you should always watch for checkmates. :P But he's especially good at them for the level which is why he's a notorious hurdle. I can beat him consistently though so I figured it would be fun to show you how via the thought process I go through for moves and such.
You might be wondering why I didn't just play a human. Ehhh... I dunno. I get really nervous during human matches. (I also think I'm not playing at the skill level I used to. Haven't' for a while really which is kind of frustrating and likely contributes to the issue.) Think' it's a combo of the timer and how it's kind of embarrassing when I make a mistake. Ironically said nervousness caused me to make a LOT of mistakes in the first (and currently only) 5 games I played on the website. The latest two were especially bad as I think my nerves just compounded... I suspect if I play more I'll get used to it, but ehhh... Not' sure if Chess.com is even for me as it has a lot of paywalls. I'm leaning more towards lichess.org which has a philosophy of keeping itself free.
Post-game info: After checking the analysis, there were no blunders. Why it said there were on the results screen is beyond me, lol!

Sure enough, there's no real blunders, though a few positional mistakes along the way as you'll see by the evaluation.
