20190130: Here's the construction process for the third iteration of my splitbox controller! The splitbox is constructed to be playable whether it's fit together or with its halves spread apart so the user can have more control over ergonomics.

This stick cost a total of $249.76 to make, including the cost of the wood, PCB, buttons, breakout boards, connectors, wiring, and so on. The PCB was by far the single biggest cost at about $100, with the wood coming in at about $80 (including shipping).

I got the PCB, buttons, and silencers from Paradise Arcade Shop, and the custom laser printed wood from Ponoko.com.
