Rant on misunderstanding game mechanics

This is an admittedly quite relaxed rant, but still a rant, about how *some* people just don't understand the difference between design trade-offs and actually bad mechanics. Maybe I bring up too many examples on occasion, but that's just me being me.
(And, NO, I did not record the rant in a single sitting! I wish I was able to speak for so long at a time, never mind sticking to one single train of thought...)
