3Response Analysis Program was a Chatterbot that you could type in from Computer Shopper Magazine in 1985, before the word rap meant anything more to me than simply a word for chatting. What can I say, Iowa is very far from New York City. It was written (or at least copyrighted) by Jeff Brenner for the ATARI 8-bit and inspired by Eliza, the first chatterbot. There are some odd references to a "school" in it suggesting perhaps it was originally intended for something other than magazine publication.
