21Rapter: Call Of The Shadows is a classic MSDos game published by Apogee Software in the mid 1990s.
Most people remember Raptor as a classic Apogee game but it was actually developed by Cygnus Studios (known now as Mountain King Studios). Cygnus Studios later went on to develop the classic game Strife.
Raptor: Call Of The Shadows is a candidate for the best top-down scrolling shooter of the DOS gaming era and possibly any platform ever.
In 1999 Mountain King re-released Raptor as a native Windows game with better audio and graphics. Raptor was later once again re-related in 2010 being fully cross-platform with Windows, Linux, and Mac based systems.
