How To Add Debian Repositories To SteamOS Brewmaster
0It's easy enough to get into the desktop mode with SteamOS Brewmaster but adding Debian repos is a bit more tricky.
The SteamOS repositories afford only basic functionality in the way of apps and libraries. You'll need the official Debian 8.1 Jessie repositories to really make the most of your SteamOS desktop.
ALSO - Don't even try to add Ubuntu (or any other Debian-based distro) repositories to SteamOS.
Add this line to your /etc/apt/sources.list file - deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free
