Hello friends, the Doepfer GMX-1 is a curiousity amongst other GM-modules. Its quite unknown and rare. It looks cheap but I really like its sound!
The synth is made by Dream (located in France) for Doepher as we can see on the ICs and PCB-marking. Dream made wavetable synths for soundcards and wavetable boards, and is one of the few companys from that era that are still in business They even produce wavetable-ICs today - for Serdaco's Dreamblaster series as an example. For demonstration I chose the title theme from the PC-Game "Jagged Alliance". I made some more records from Tyrian and Doom II to upload next time.
