I spent hundreds of dollars buying the best desktop USB microphone and it's giving me crackling noises! There are 2 things you can do to try and fix it:
1. Plug it into a USB hub with external power source (i.e. not straight onto your computer).
2. (NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO) Remove other USB devices one by one, it could be another USB device that is causing the noise.
3. (NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO) Make sure there is no mobile phone in the room where you are recording as that can also create the noise.
4. (NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO) Disable all other sound devices while recording.
5. (NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO) Plug in earphones into the microphone while recording so you can hear yourself in your microphone. You should be able to hear the buzzing if it occurs and pause the recording if you hear it.
6. (NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO) Turn the microphone volume up using the hardware microphone volume knob (not software). The louder sound can cover up the buzzing (the buzz will not increase because of the volume)
7. (NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO) Try a different computer. It could be computer specific.
