RC4ever's F-22 Setup and Programming EXPLAINED ✈️ FrSky Taranis X9D+
This F-22 setup video goes over programming with FrSky Taranis X9D+ radios. I explain everything for you! You asked for it and I have listened! :)
I also cover a few other topics in the video but I mostly focus on explaining what is it that my F-22 does and how I programmed my transmitter settings to achieve it. Although this is for an OpenTx architecture, you probably can take ideas for other radio ecosystems.
I know it's taken me a while to bring this video up online, but better late than never I guess! :p
Also, I know the vid turned out a bit long-ish, but making it shorter would have probably required more work than I was willing to put in ATM, so it is what it is. You can use the CHAPTERS to navigate to the parts that interest you and ignore the rest! ;)
If you have further doubts or want to know more about this jet, I encourage you to ask questions in the comments section here or otherwise head over to the forums (threads linked below) and I will be happy to attend you there ;)

QUICK RATES/EXPO OVERVIEW TABLE
(low-mid-high)
RATES*
ROLL 50/90/100
PITCH 60/100/100
YAW 75/85/100
EXPOS
ROLL 65/75/80
PITCH 50/80/70
YAW 00/30/30
*These rates assume maximum servo travels achievable with stock servos, after leveling out some throw asymmetries.
TL:DR - I fly almost exclusively on high rates, so that's 100-100-100 full mechanical throws on all axis and 80-70-30% expo (Roll-Pitch-Yaw).

Mind that although most of the jet is stock, I performed several modifications. Removed the infamous Blue Box and wing ribbon wires, passed individual leads to wing servos, mixed them all separately, removed pilot figure and nose gear light, installed a HE A3S3 gyro (which required physical servo reversing one stabilator servo, inverting motor and pot wires), added a green LED to make a fake HUD reflection effect, airbrushed the canopy to make it look more golden, like the full-scale one. Need to pick the sun at the right angle to show up though!
