Through various bits of software trickery, it is possible to upscale low-res images to a higher res with a simulation of added detail. It is also possible to synthesize higher framerates by analyzing the motion of objects in a video sequence. Can we use these techniques together to "remaster" poor digital video sources into much better quality? You be the judge!
The source of this video was 288x144 at 10fps, and what was synthesized and uploaded to YouTube was 720p60. Avisynth was used for the conversion, with Interframe() and nnedi3_rpow2() used for processing.
