Talk about a disappointment. You'd think that this sequel to the cult classic Space Jam would be better than the original. But boy, you thought wrong.

So here's why it was like that. The movie itself is supposed to be about LeBron James teaming up with the Looney Tunes to save his son from a hostile virtual space entity, right? Well, let's just say that this is not mainly about that. Just think of it as Warner Bros' version of Ralph Break the Internet and the movie is like saying "LOOK, Warner Bros. still owns the IP" and all that. Not just that, but it seems like it's just nostalgia pandering and it probably fills it up like around 60% - 85% of it. And granted, nostalgia can be a good thing, but doing so and say "hey, remember this," is a distraction and it may cripple an otherwise good movie.

Also, they had to make a couple of changes such as recasting voice actors and perhaps leaving important credits behind - like animators who worked so hard on characters and such.

Don't get me wrong, Space Jam: The New Legacy is not all that bad - the animation is nice, the storyline seems interesting, and cartoon violence is still there. So maybe the movie is... somewhat okay. But that is just my opinion.
