I bought a box that allows you to game in 3D on a 2D tv using anaglyph 3D. It converts 2D images to 3D and it will let you view true side by side 3D images in anaglyph. It also will convert 2D images to 3D for 3D televisions using shutter glasses which i also tried out. It's a lot better with the shutter glasses but i can't record that for youtube unfortunately. I can't capture direct footage from this box in 3D so right now this is what i have to do unless i figure out a work around.

Btw the box i got was only about $30. It's made by a company called egreat.
