Big shout out to all black and brown geeks of color. It ain’t easy in these streets for people of our tribe. There was a point in time where everything looked white washed. Now a lot of that has changed. That’s why I think it’s especially important that we make ourselves heard and seen.
I get a big kick out of seeing different perspectives of geek/nerd culture. Asian, African, Latin American and whoever else that loves to hang out with a manga, check out an anime, or get lost in a video game. Essentially, we are all a part of the same tribe, so let’s make sure every voice is heard.
