City of Heroes is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that was first released in 2004 and shut down in 2012, and then revived again with NCSoft's Blessing in the City of Heroes Homecoming which includes City of Heores, City of Villains, and Going Rogue.
In the game, players create characters and team up to fight criminals in the fictional city of Paragon City. Players can take on the roles of heroes, villains, vigilantes, and rogues, and can choose from 10 archetypes and over 40 primary and sub classes
