256This video shows how to setup the Logitech Z906 Surround System to run properly on a PS5 and a modern TV.
Normally this sound system only runs at a false 2.0 stereo mix.
At its “decode mode” however it will be sending unique sound effects and normal surround audio queues to all speakers from the developers giving your movies and games a true surround experience. This mode will also give you new sound effects and ambient sound that you haven’t heard before, because they can only be heard in a 5.1 or 7.1 surround mode thats being truly decoded via optical audio.
Headphones cannot get this audio level, even when forced via virtual surround mixes.
Its important to note that audio quality will be way better and have supreme separation and the volume will get WAY higher In the decode mode.
