Real Time Tactics Game Attempt (Unreal Engine)
An early draft of a real time tactics game based on Sudden Strike 3 and Sudden Strike 4, made in Unreal Engine 5.4 and 5.5.
This was made just using Blueprint and following freely available content online from TwoNeurons () and BuildGamesWithJon (, with a few designs of my own as my understanding improved, such as the GUI, sensitive camera control, and the reinforcement drop and cooldown mechanic. This took about 6 months, but I was in no rush, and most of it was taking down detailed notes after starting out with no knowledge of Unreal.
For now, this project is complete as a test. What was created may be used to build something further, if I can figure out how to bring in some effective unit pathfinding that also covers vehicles. Alternatively, a fresh project may be made after taking a different approach.
