The music from Streets of Rage also uses the Roland TR-808 drum machine for some of its track, most notably the intro music. I was wondering how the Streets of Rage soundtrack would sound like if the drums were coming straight from a real TR-808 playing the drums, so I tried to create this.

This is the intro song, titled "The Streets of Rage", composed by Yuzo Koshiro for the Sega Genesis.

It was really hard to imitate the actual samples used in the game using only TR-808 samples, but after some tuning, I think it sounds as close as it can get. Admittedly, it still isn't perfect, since I did not use any effects such as reverb or compression to enhance the sound.

So this is probably how Streets of Rage would sound like if it was a modern game using an actual TR-808 for its drums.
