Here is a super short tutorial what you have to do, in order to permanently change the realm list of your World of Warcraft client, if it changes on it's own every start.
It annoyed me to no end, until I found a solution somewhere in a 5 minute long video - this here is an attempt to get straight to the point without all the barfing around.

This issue is most likely caused by another file: Data\*your_language*\realmlist.wtf
You might have to remove read-only protection of the file if neccessary.
