In this video, #AmitBhawani shows you the #unboxing of the newly launched #RealmeBook Slim Laptop. We have the base variant powered by the 11th-gen Core i3 processor and Intel UHD graphics. The other variant comes with a Core i5 CPU and also noticeably better Iris Xe graphics chip.
Inside the package, we have a laptop, 65W USB-C Power Adapter, USB-C to USB-C charging cable, Quick start guide, and a warranty card. The laptop looks sleek and is lightweight in the first impression. It comes with a metallic finish. However, there are already heavy scratches and dents all over the body. We don't know how this unit passed the QC checks. Looks like this laptop is prone to scratches, despite having an aluminum alloy body design. It also easily attracts smudges which are clearly visible here though Realme mentioned that these are pre-production units but still surprised.
While we have the Blue color variant, it is also available in the Grey color option. It measures 15.5mm thick and weighs approximately 1.38 Kgs. So this makes it easy to carry anywhere. Coming to the ports, there are two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports on the left. Unlike the i5 variant, there is no Thunderbolt 4 support on this variant. To the right, we have a single USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. There are no HDMI, Ethernet, and SD card slot on this laptop.
Inside you get a backlit keyboard with three-level brightness adjustment and a pretty large trackpad. However, the trackpad on our unit has stopped responding after just a few minutes of usage. Talking about the display, it is a 14 inches IPS panel with 2K resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The bezels on all four sides are pretty slim. With 400 nits max brightness, the display also looks bright. It covers 100 percent sRGB, making it an excellent choice for those editing content. You should also note that the refresh rate of the display is only 60Hz. Even the anti-glare coating is missing because of which the reflection on the screen is sometimes disturbing.
The variant we have comes packed with an 11th Gen Intel Core i3 processor with two cores and 4 threads. It is accompanied by Intel UHD Graphics. Apart from browsing or attending online meetings or classes, we recommend the Core i5 variant for any other task. The i3 variant includes 8GB of LPDDR4x dual-channel RAM clocked at 3,733 MHz and 256GB of PCIe SSD Storage. There are dual heat pipes and dual fans to keep the laptop cool while using it for heavy-intensive tasks.
The laptop packs a 54Wh large battery which should make the laptop easily last for 10 hours of regular usage. The 65W USB-C power adapter can charge the laptop from 0% to 50%. Moreover, the same adapter also supports 30W Dart Charge technology for fast charging compatible smartphones. You get a 720p Webcam which is decent, but there are no IR sensors for Windows Hello face recognition to work. Nonetheless, it's good to see a Webcam on this when there's a little bezel and you don't have to buy a separate webcam.
The power button comes with an integrated fingerprint scanner for unlocking the screen instantly. There are two 2W Harman speakers which support Stereo Sound by DTS. It also includes two microphones backed by AI noise cancellation technology. For wireless connectivity, the i3 variant of the Realme Book Slim supports Wi-Fi 5 & Bluetooth 5.1. It comes with Windows 10 pre-installed and is eligible for the free Windows 11 upgraded.
