The Rebel model is an over-the-ear style headphone set. The ear cushions are nicely padded, soft and comfortable, and do an excellent job of noise cancellation. I used them while sitting at my desk, "jammin" to tune out the annoying, loud co-workers.
The rest of the casing is earth-friendly recycled aluminum. This can definitely be a plus to those who are eco-conscious. The packaging is made of recycled material as well. The comfy fabric over the headband is in "Rasta" Jamaican green, yellow, and red. The material covering of the cords also helps to make the cord more tangle-proof.
The frequency for sound is 17Hz -- 20kHz, with very clear sound, and a 50mm dynamic ring coil speaker. These have great sound quality, with just the right amount of bass. I was head bobbing along at my desk, gotta love that. However, when I did set the earphones on my desk, I could still hear the music coming out of the speakers a bit, but it was minimal.
As far as philosophy, I just damn-well like their approach. They are eco-friendly and responsible, global and community oriented, and believe in emulating Bob Marley and inspiration through music. A portion of the proceeds are given back to those in need through 1Love.org. Great company and great products.
