Recreating A Classic Video - Pagani Zonda R Nurburgring Lap
#simracing #racinggame #assettocorsa
This video is a small tribute to this classic from Pagani: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPd0ATqvoJM
I've watched that video dozens of times. I consider this a classic moment in automotive history. The laptime achieved in real life by the Zonda R was a 6:47.5, which has since been beaten by several other cars, but considering the tech that was available for a consumer car of that era, the time achieved was an incredible feat.
Setup is as follows:
Gears: LOCKED
Tyres:
20psi Front
19psi Rear
Fuel: 1 Liter** (if fuel consumption is off, otherwise 15 liters)
Electronics:
TC: 1
ABS: 2
Aero:
Front: 2 deg
Rear: 10 deg
Alignment:
Camber: -3.1 front, -2.4 rear
Toe: 10 front, 10 rear
Dampers:
Bump: 4 front, 6 rear
FST Bump: 5 front, 8 rear
Rebound: 5 front, 7 rear
FST Rebound: 2 front, 3 rear
Generic:
Brake Bias: 69% (tee hee)
Brake Power: 98%
Suspension:
ARB: 9 front, 2 rear
Wheel Rate: 156 front, 127 rear
**Note about the fuel load: I thought a lot about whether carrying only one liter of fuel made the laptime unrealistic. But truthfully, having an unlimited number of attempts to set a time, in perfect track conditions, from the safety and comfort of my home is also extremely unrealistic. So if you're concerned about having a setup comparable to what could be used in real life, add fuel as you see fit. If you're like me and leaning into the fantasy of setting the fastest time I can personally achieve, lower the fuel and have some fun. End rant.
