I was one of those guys, absolutely loved RDR2 on ps but was hesistant to get it on the deck due to hearing about it not working, crashing, start up issues or having to install the rockstar launcher But I took the plunge anyways (whilst it’s on sale).
Annnnd I can confirm the game not only works fine but plays amazingly well on Steam os.
I will say though Once the download was completed I tried running it and it wouldn’t, so i hit restart and bam 💥 Works straight away.
Bit of a slow load up screen and I did have to sign up to the rockstar launcher(which was just my email address), 5 mins later I was playing.

Right thats the game set up out the way, now on to the gameplay….
For me this ls thee best game ever made. from the amazing story, the graphics, the gameplay, the characters, scenary, every single thing about this game is perfect. I knew i had to get it on the Deck but i waited, not because it wasnt worth getting straight away but because i knew the moment i did no other game would get a look in for months and i had too many games i wanted to try having just got my Deck.

I completed this on XB1 and pumped 100s and 100s of hours into it, never 100% but i came damn close. Now saying that, hearing this huge/massive game would be on a handheld device i was so weiry and thought it would be glitchy or buggy as hell for it to be enjoyable…
Ive now hit the 2 hour mark and have not had a single glitch, drop in quality or problem with it. Its playing amazingly and i can confirm This game is everything i wanted it to be on the Deck and sooo much more.

I know my 6 rating sounds dumb but this game is perfect and should be owned/played by anyone with a Deck. It is incredible, a league of its own. Nothing comes close.
A MASTERPIECE.
